Ethan Lemon is a British painter whose work focuses on portraiture. His signature style emerged from the fast nature of creating graffiti using spray paint, a medium in which he has worked for the last decade. Ethan's main practice is still on the street, where he paints large murals. His subjects consist of anonymous people, personal acquaintances or
historical figures, often from the area where the mural is located.

 

Ethan employs a signature colour palette of green and red which can be recognised instantly in the busy streets of any city. Beyond the street, Ethan also has a studio practice where he is currently merging portraiture with elements such as landscape to create playful compositions on canvas. Ethan has exhibited and won prizes in various group exhibitions in England. He has also painted murals in numerous cities around the UK such as Glasgow, Bristol and Manchester and internationally in Toronto, Los Angeles and
Melbourne.
